Home Investment Partnership (HOME)

Program Description

The HOME program was developed to assure an adequate supply of standard, affordable rental housing to low-income households. The County provides assistance for the rehabilitation of existing rental units, new construction of rental units, and assistance to first-time homebuyers. The County works with the Housing Authority, with non-profit and for-profit developers, and the City of York, to implement these activities. The County coordinates its HOME and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded housing activities for affordable housing. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
