Subdivision & Land Development

SUBDIVISION & LAND DEVELOPMENT REVIEW

As required by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, all proposed subdivisions and/or land development plans located in municipalities with a Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance must be submitted to YCPC for review. YCPC has 30 days after the proposed plan is received, along with applicable fees, to forward the review to the municipality's governing body, municipal planning commission, the applicant, and other review agencies and officials as necessary.

If you have a question about developing or subdividing property in any municipality aside from Delta, Yoe, Yorkana, and York Haven boroughs, YCPC may be able to help but the best source of information is the municipal office of the township, borough, or city where the activity is located.

COUNTY SUBDIVISION & LAND DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL

York County, through YCPC, reviews and takes action on all subdivisions and land developments in Delta, Yoe, Yorkana, and York Haven boroughs. Proposed activities must meet the requirements of the York County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance. A pre-application meeting is required prior to submission of plans.
