Information Systems
The Information Systems Department is responsible for the routine maintenance of the computer and network infrastructure within the Planning Commission and development of a Countywide Geographic Information System (GIS). The GIS is a database of County information that can be displayed on maps of the County. The maps are created through a combination of Aerial Photography and vector data, such as tax maps, flood plains, roads, soils and many other layers.
