Housing and Community Development Department has been designated by the County
Commissioners to administer various federal, state, and other housing and
community development programs and projects. Current programs include the

MUNICIPAL PROJECTS: The Department provides CDBG funding to
municipalities for planning activities, studies, and construction/reconstruction
of public facilities. The following is a sample of the 34 municipal projects
undertaken in the last two years:

Stewartstown Borough - Wellhead Protection Plan

West York Borough - West Princess Street curb/sidewalk/drainage improvements

PUBLIC SERVICES PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS: A limited amount of CDBG
and ESG funds are also available for public services, including homeless
assistance. The following are a few of the 10 public service and homeless
assistance projects and programs funded over the past two years:

HOUSING PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS: The Department has become
increasingly active in providing housing assistance to low income households
through the CDBG, HOME, Weatherization, and the Affordable Housing Trust Fund
programs. The following is a representation of the housing programs and projects
