Building permit data is compiled on a yearly basis for permits covering newly constructed buildings. Reports are formatted to show data by year, type of building, type of residential building and/or municipality. Building permit data shown on this site may not be comprehensive. The majority of municipalities submit building permit data for county reports, however, municipalities are not required to submit this data to the county and therefore the reports may not reflect information for the county as a whole. For more information please visit Building Permit Reports on the Reports & Documents page.
The YCPC is an affiliate of the PA State Data Center, which serves as Pennsylvania's official source of population, economic and housing statistics, and can assist with specific census data inquiries. A selection of publications and maps is available at PA State Data Center. Additionally, through the US Census Bureau's American FactFinder tool, data seekers can search both the decennial censuses and the American Community Survey by topic, geography, racial/ethnic group, industry codes, and EEO occupation codes to obtain demographic, economic and housing data.
