Jul-10-2008 - 2007 Population Estimates Released Today for
Pennsylvania Cities, Boroughs and TownshipsAn analysis of the data
shows:
- Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, is the
state’s fastest growing municipality, increasing 20.2 percent between 2006
and 2007
- Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, gained the most
residents between 2006 and 2007, increasing by 1,142
- Seventy-seven PA municipalities have experienced growth
of 25 percent or higher since 2000, while thirteen municipalities declined
by more than ten percent
