What is the Local Government Advisory Committee?

The Local Government Advisory Committee or LGAC is a committee of elected and appointed municipal officials from each of the 72 municipalities in York County.

UCC Board of Appeals

The York County Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals became effective in April of 2004 and is being administered by YCPC. Any municipality opting into the UCC became responsible for enforcing the code within their municipality and had to provide for an appeals board. To avoid duplication and foster inter-governmental cooperation, the York County UCC Board of Appeals was created.

York Area Metropolitan Planning Organization
(YAMPO)

Federal laws and Ordinance require the formation of a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for each urbanized area with a population of more than 50,000 to coordinate a comprehensive and continuing transportation planning program.
