The Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC) was created by the York County Board of Commissioners by resolution. The LGAC is a committee of elected and appointed municipal officials representing the townships and boroughs of York County. The LGAC provides a local government perspective on proposed projects as well as provides a networking and information sharing opportunity for elected and appointed officials on planning issues. The LGAC:
- reviews and makes recommendations on planning projects being conducted by the York County Planning Commission
- reviews and makes recommendations to the York County Planning Commission on proposed plans and ordinances from municipalities
The LGAC meets 8 days prior to the York County Planning Commission meeting, which is normally held the 3rd Tuesday of each month. The LGAC meeting is held at 6:30PM in the Main Conference Room in the York County Planning Commission at the York County Administrative Center, 28 East Market Street.
