The following substantial amendment is proposed for the 2008 York County Action Plan, adding activities funded through the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Recovery Program Grant (CDBG-R):

CDBG-R, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, prioritizes infrastructure improvements activities that can be implemented expeditiously, for the purpose of creating suitable living environments, primarily for persons of low and moderate income. The following is a description of the activities proposed for the York County CDBG-R program: Red Lion Borough, Broadway and Main Streets Streetscape Improvements extends the Hometown Streets enhancements at the Borough square, including: installation of decorative stamped concrete strip; street trees; pedestrian-scale lighting; and sidewalk and curb repair or replacement. West York Borough, Market Street Streetscape Improvements include design and installation of improvements along Market Street including, but not limited to: sidewalk and curb repair or replacement; and enhancements to lighting, landscaping, pedestrian accessibility and parking. County of York ADA Improvements includes removal of material and architectural barriers that restrict the mobility and accessibility of elderly or severely disabled persons to County facilities. CDBG-R Program Administration includes grant management activities.
