In 1999 the York County Planning Commission celebrated its 40th Anniversary. In preparation for that event, the Planning Commission created a Planning and Community Development Awards program that continues to this day. The awards recognize planning and community development accomplishments that embody the principles adopted in the York County Comprehensive Plan.
